Public Relations could very well be in the middle of a massive paradigm shift. This social media class at Ohio Northern University is aimed at teaching upper level public relations students the new social media applications that are here to stay.

Dissertation Topic Approved
I received word today from my advisor that two out of the three topics that I sent her earlier are fine to pursue for my dissertation. I am choosing the one I am obviously more passionate about writing for the next 6+ months. I am excited and bummed at the same time. Excited that I can finally start working on the writing this "book" and bummed that so much of it needs to be done over the holiday break. Like so many of you, I too love to coast home and chill and relax and just enjoy the holidays. This dissertation is bound to get in the way! The goal is to hammer out at least the first three chapters over break. That is roughly 75 pages or so. Ugh. I have done plenty of researching work so I should have all the information, now it comes down to organizing and writing complete and coherent thoughts. Just wish I could have a few weeks extra off--who doesn't?

I am so sorry! :( I mean happy but sorry. That is a bummer but I am sure you will find a wonderful balance between relaxing and working.
WHOA!!! I would hate t be in that position, especially over such a cherished break as Christmas!! I hope it goes well and if you want anybody to read it and ask inspiring questions, I'm sure Nils wouldn't mind LOL
So can you say what it is about?
Congrats on the approval! But I agree, it stinks that you have to spend some of your holiday break doing so much work. I know you will get it done some way, but make sure to enjoy the holidays :)
So you are writing a book on how sweet your social media class was? Awesome, you are sure to get outstanding remarks on that!!!
Seriously though, nice work.
